The Problem
With hundreds of nurses and thousands of shifts to fill, Coastal Care coordinators were spending all day making phone calls and sending text messages to fill shifts. At the end of the day, many shifts still went unfilled.
Coastal care wanted to expand statewide while maintaining their minimal overhead and keep their core staff under 20 employees.
The Solution
We built Coastal Care a website and phone app so their nurses could see available shifts in their area. The nurses can select their own shifts to create their own schedules. Building a mobile friendly website, as well as a phone app, makes the nurse portal easily accessible to all users.
The Result
Nurses love being in charge of their own time by being able to pick shifts that match their schedule. The nurses can schedule themselves, so coordinators can spend time monitoring instead of making phone calls. Coastal Care is now positioned to grow, and achieve their goal of expanding to a statewide nurse staffing company.
